Dog Training Club

My 9 year old terrier has been diagnosed with arthritis. Can he still attend classes?

If your dog has any medical condition or behavioural issues, you must notify us before you start classes.

The club and its trainers always make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both yourself and your dog. But if you are in any doubt about your dog’s suitability to participate in the classes please discuss it with your trainer and if necessary seek the relevant professional advice.

It will therefore depend on the severity of the condition and if a medical professional has advised against your dog participating we cannot accept any liability for personal injury related to participation in the classes. Eg  in the case of a dog with arthritis would we certainly recommend against agility classes, but if the dog is on medication and still reasonably physically fit, then obedience classes should be okay. If in doubt, check with your vet.
